try using the myspace, profile generator. to do this, you will first need to take all the codes off your profile, if you want it to be the default one. the generator will allow you to upload a back round pic, and it is fairly easy to use.

The one that I like to use is called PIMP MY PROFILE at pimpmyprofile.com, basically its got all the fonts you would want and you can create your own customized layout from pictures on the internet or on your computer along with every color you could ever think of. I like it, but the only problem I found was the lack of choices for a cursor item.

They also have different types of pictures and stuff you can add to your page.

Learn HTML and CSS and code your own layout. You really only need to know HTML.

Go to myspace. Click edit profile. Once that page loads look in the top right hand corner for the text that says profile editor. Click the text profile editor and there you go :]

You can either make your own using HTML and all that stuff, or you can use someone else's style sheet, but you'd have to ask them first. If they let you, you just go into the code, and change the colors, backround, lengths, etc. around. You can ask a layout site, or you can just take a commonly used style sheet, because no one really claimed it.

In order to make your own, you need to learn about that stuff.

I've been trying to find a myspace genrator that creates tiny default layouts. I've been googling/asking Jeeves like mad, but I still can't find one. :] I know of a site where you can make regular tiny layouts (one very popular site known as www.Skem9.com) but with this layout generator you can't make ANY default layouts. As soon as you start generating the layout, it gets rid of the default tables/colors and makes the background all white. Well I am an active member on Skem9.com, which you have mentioned. I do understand a lot about the "we don't have any defaults" but trust me, us members do want them, as well as a generator. You can become a member and make a suggestion of it or make a request from any member that knows how to make them. However I am not sure if it is possible to make a tiny one.

Feedthedragon.net is a good site for tuts on how to make one with a already made layout if you would like to make one from that. James doesn't make it that complicated (trust me). He also has a div tut if you want to learn to make those.

How Do you Make A 2 Color Myspace Layout?

Ok, I am allways seeing these 2 color myspace layouts but i can't figure out for my life how to make them. How do you do it.? Is there a myspace generator for it? Or is it just plain writing out the html? Either way I don't care just tell me becasue it's driving me insane.

How Do you Make A 2 Color Myspace Layout?

Couple of things you can do ---- first of all, get the code for the layout you like. If you have something as simple as Microsoft Word you can paste it there and save it to keep it "intact". Then, with a little time you can figure out the coding structure very easily. The tables on the layout you have linked are either a color or they are transparent. Not very hard at all. If you want to use a layout generator there are a few that are better than others (as far as what they allow you to do)

I have pretty much taken a layout apart piece by piece and in Word have coded it so I can add my own pics, colors, etc. You can also get the web colors by going to someplace like webmonkey.com -- this is handy to have -- make sure you bookmark it!

If you know how to make a layout, you find a quote picture you like one of these, ex:

You can figure out the codes by changing them up and seeing what changed... it's a lot of fun to make it your own. I've tried some of the generators and the pictures usually don't look as good. But you can be totally creative with those, just google Myspace layout generators.

In which case just use something like the Thomas Editor (make sure you've saved the image - which can be done by right clicking on the image and then save as). In which case you can customize your layout quite easily. Just make sure you follow each step. Also don't forget to delete the code you're using now, so that nothing gets overlapped or too messy.

If you know a lot about HTML you can do what I do. A lot of people use a layout code and change the background image and stuff. If you know a lot about HTML but can't make a code from scratch, I just use a layout code and edit it (tables, colors, background, etc.) to what I'd like it to be.

You can figure out the codes by changing them up and seeing what changed... it's a lot of fun to make it your own. I've tried some of the generators and the pictures usually don't look as good.
